137 Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Transport if he will report on the review of road spending (details supplied) as outlined in the Renewed Programme for Government 2009; when this review will start and the duration of same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The review is being undertaken by the National Roads Authority, as the body with statutory responsibility for the improvement and maintenance of national roads, including the allocation of funding to individual projects. The review has already commenced and will be completed later this year.
