View answerThe reply to Question Nos. 621, 622 and 623 of 23 March, 2010 outlines the position in relation to the calculation of energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions for purposes of the Building Energy Rating (BER) Scheme. My Department understands that the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), which is tasked with the administration of the scheme, has responded to a number of requests for clarification as to the treatment of wood-fuelled appliances for BER purposes.
