Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills the extent and frequency of school medical examination on a county basis in each of the past five years to date in 2010; the extent and nature of the diagnosis and follow up arising therefrom; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department does not operate the schools medical examinations service and I am not therefore in a position to comment on the matters raised by the Deputy. It appears that these matters would be more appropriate to my colleague, the Minister for Health and Children.
