165 Deputy Fergus O’Dowd asked the Minister for Transport the amount paid in each of the past five years in respect of IT services supplied to his Department, in tabular form; the nature of the service provided; if there were tenders sought for each such contract; the successful company or person; the number of staff employed in his Department’s IT sections; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerI understand that the Deputy has agreed to limit his question to those suppliers of services where expenditure exceeded €25,000 in any of the years in question. I refer to the table, which indicates the relevant suppliers, including the amount spent and the nature of the service procured. My Department complies with public procurement guidelines, and all of the services listed in the table would have been procured as a result of the relevant tendering procedures.
