118 Deputy Fergus O’Dowd asked the Minister for Finance when he plans to expand the Freedom of Information Act to include the Railway Safety Commission, the advisory council to the Commission for Taxi Regulation and the Railway Safety Advisory Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My officials are currently working on an extension to the FOI Act and it is intended that the Railway Safety Commission, the Advisory Council to the Commission for Taxi Regulation and the Railway Safety Advisory Council will be considered along with a number of other public bodies for inclusion under the FOI Act.
