186 Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for Social Protection the progress arising from a meeting held on the 5 May 2010 between his Department officials and retired coal miners; if his Department will be appointed to progress their claim to determine if there will be a Government response; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The issues raised by the National Coalminers Group in the course of the meeting held on the 5th May are currently being considered. I will be pleased to advise the Deputy once that consideration has been finalised.
