303 Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if she will take steps to have a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath immediately admitted to the ear, nose and throat department of the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore for assessment; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I wish to advise the Deputy that due to industrial action affecting the Health Service Executive it is not possible for the Executive to supply the information requested. If this matter remains of continuing concern to you, however, I would invite you to raise it with me again in due course.

If the patient's medical condition continues to cause concern it is open to their general practitioner to contact the hospital directly in relation to the case.
