457 Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills her plans to provide a permanent greenfield site to enable a new school to be provided at Curraghmore, Mullingar, County Westmeath; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [22104/10]
View answerThe provision of a new building for the school to which the Deputy refers necessitates the acquisition of a site. The Patron has decided to make this acquisition. When a site is available, consideration can be given to the inclusion of a building project for the school in the School Building and Modernisation Programme. However, in light of the current level of demand on the Department's capital budget, it is not possible to give an indicative timeframe for the progression of a building project for the school at this time.
