364 Deputy Joe Costello asked the Minister for Justice and Law Reform when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 2 will be recruited into the Garda Reserve in view of the fact that they have completed all the interviews and examinations and is waiting more than a year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerI refer the Deputy to my answer of 20th May 2010 in which I stated that all applications to join the Garda Reserve are processed in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Garda Síochána (Reserve Members) Regulations, 2006. The length of time for processing applications can vary depending on the number of applications on hand. I have no role or function in the process.
