1362 Deputy Arthur Morgan asked the Minister for Social Protection the number of employees within his Department who have completed their career breaks and who are still waiting to return to his Department; the number of persons and the length of time waiting; if he will supply details on a county basis in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The conditions of the Civil Service Career Break scheme state that any person who indicates at least two months prior to the end of their career break that he or she wishes to resume duty has a guarantee that they will do so in a relevant grade, not necessarily in his/her parent Department, within 12 months of the expiry of the career break.
