View answerThe Deputy will appreciate that for obvious reasons it is not the practice to comment on security arrangements put in place in any particular case other than to make the general point that responsibility for providing security for visiting persons or delegations rests primarily with An Garda Síochána. I would emphasise that this should not be taken in any way as confirming the unsubstantiated reports underlying the Deputy's question.
