66 Deputy John Cregan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills her plans to implement the FÁS hairdressing apprenticeship course; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [35474/10]
View answerA number of FÁS training centres currently offer hairdressing courses for those wishing to pursue a career in the industry. Course details are available from the FÁS website or from FÁS employment services offices throughout the country. FÁS, in consultation with the Irish Hairdressing Federation and other industry stakeholders, has developed a hairdressing apprenticeship curriculum. However, some issues around course delivery, timing and sequencing require further development in this context.
