154 Deputy Lucinda Creighton asked the Minister for Health and Children the amount of money owed to private firms by her Department [42272/10]
View answerUnder the Prompt Payment Act my Department pays invoices for goods and services as soon as possible. Approximately 98% of invoices are paid within 30 days of their receipt. Delays normally arise only where the amount payable is not clear or where questions arise about the delivery of the service on goods in question. The Deputy will appreciate that the number of invoices awaiting payment to private firms will vary from day to day.
