265 Deputy Jimmy Deenihan asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport the amount of money that has been paid annually since 2002 to registered charities; on the subject of institutional and religious abuse, if she will specify which charities and detail how the Government has monitored the spending of these funds; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Excluding grants to any tourism, culture or sport organisations which may have some form of charitable status, the Department has not paid any money to registered charities since its establishment in June 2002.
