Written answers

Excluding grants to any tourism, culture or sport organisations which may have some form of charitable status, my Department does not pay money to registered charities. The Department does not seek nor, in general, is it provided with information as to the charitable status, if any, of its grantees, as this does not form a component of its core functions. There are no plans to alter these arrangements.
