94 Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Transport the position regarding the granting of a private contract to a taxi firm to run a taxi rank outside their hotel; if his attention has been drawn to such a development at a hotel (details supplied) in Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The regulation of the taxi industry, including issues pertaining to the grant of vehicle licences, is a matter for the National Transport Authority under the Public Transport Regulation Act, 2009.

I have referred the Deputy's Question to the NTA for direct reply. The Deputy should advise my private office if he does not receive a reply within ten working days.
