Question:380 Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will request the Health Service Executive to expedite necessary surgery in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; if this person will be urgently referred to the National Treatment Purchase Fund; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAs this is a service matter it has been referred to the HSE for direct reply. Subject to the resources available to it, the National Treatment Purchase Fund may arrange treatment for patients who have been on a surgical waiting list for more than three months. It is open to the person in question or anyone acting on their behalf to contact the Fund directly in relation to their case.
