285 Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Health his plans as part of the rationalisation of hospitals to provide additional funding to the remaining hospitals that will be providing the services to increased numbers. [20541/11]
View answerThe HSE National Service Plan 2011 which was approved in December 2010 requires the HSE to operate within the limits of its voted allocation of €13.456 billion. This represents a net reduction of €683m on the 2010 provision. The HSE National Service Plan also commits the HSE to delivering service levels for 2011 which are broadly in line with 2010 levels. All hospitals are required to operate within their allocated budgets for 2011 and to meet the service level activity targets that the hospital has agreed for 2011.
