43 Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Education and Skills when school transport will be provided to a special needs student (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25334/11]
View answerI am pleased to advise that a school transport service has been approved for the pupil in question. Bus Éireann, which operates the School Transport Scheme on behalf of my Department has advised that the service will commence on Thursday 22nd September 2011. The Contractor's vehicle which will be used for this service is currently being adapted for wheelchair accessibility.
