185 Deputy Aodhán Ó Ríordáin asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform when he plans to legislate for the restoration of the Freedom of Information Act; and when the same remit will be extended to other public bodies as laid out in the Programme for Government. [29485/11]
View answerMy Department is engaged in the necessary preparatory work and consultations to give effect to the commitments in the Programme for Government in relation to Freedom of Information. I hope to be in a position to introduce the necessary legislative measures to give effect to the commitments in the Programme for Government in the New Year.
