View answerIn 2010, the total amount paid from the Social Insurance Fund, under the Redundancy Payments Act 1967, was €469.9 million. Of this amount, €373.2 million was paid out in rebates to employers in respect of redundancy payments made by them to their employees. €96.7 million was the amount paid in lump sums to employees whose employers failed to make such payments.
