561 Deputy Simon Harris asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport how he envisages sports funding for local councils will be administered in the absence of local sports officers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29674/11]
View answerThe administration of funding by local councils is a matter for the councils and I have no role in that regard. The Irish Sports Council has responsibility for Local Sports Partnership funding and I have referred the question to them for direct reply in relation to that funding. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a reply has not been received within ten days.
