96 Deputy Simon Harris asked the Minister for Finance the reason a person (details supplied) in County Dublin is being denied rent relief for the property in which the person is currently living in as a family home, in view of the fact that the person does not enjoy the use of any other residential premises; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer had previously claimed, and was granted, rent tax credit for all years from 2007 to 2010 inclusive. No claim has been submitted for 2011.
