235 Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the number of State agencies, independent statutory bodies, State boards, or other quangos established by her Department since February 2011; the number which have been abolished; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerMy Department was formally established on 2 June 2011 and since then it has not established or abolished any State agencies, independent statutory bodies, State boards or other quangos.
It should be noted that following enactment of the Child Care Amendment Act 2011, which was guided through its final stages in the Oireachtas in July by myself, the Children's Act Advisory Board was subsequently dissolved by means of the commencement by the Minister of Health of Part 6 of the Child Amendment Act 2011.
