58 Deputy Terence Flanagan asked the Minister for Education and Skills, further to Parliamentary Question No. 121 of 11 October 2011, if he will pay home tuition funding until a place becomes available (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30518/11]
View answerAs previously outlined to the Deputy home tuition was approved for the child in question from the start of the school year until the 14th October 2011 for the purpose of completing the enrolment process. The school authorities concerned have advised that the child has been enrolled and my officials will now liaise further with the school to determine the appropriate extension of home tuition that is required to facilitate his transition to school. The child's parents had previously been advised that the tuition could be extended to facilitate this transition and details of the period agreed in this context will issue to them later this week.
