Question:29 Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs her plans to implement the recommendations of the independent review group on child deaths. [32512/11]
View answerThe report of the Independent Review Group on Child Deaths is at an advanced stage of preparation. I expect to receive the report in the coming weeks. The Report will be presented to Government, following which it is my intention to lay it before the Houses of the Oireachtas and publish. Without pre-empting the work of the group, I am anticipating that the change programme already underway in HSE Child and Family Services will be an important part of the response to the recommendations of the Group. Of course, I will need to consider the content of the report in full prior to commenting on recommendations contained therein.
