186 Deputy Simon Harris asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the position regarding the numbering of houses in private developments in view of the difficulties that can be faced by emergency responders in locating houses which are unnumbered; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under Section 34 of the Planning and Development Act 2000, planning authorities may attach conditions to planning permissions in relation to appropriate naming and numbering of, and the provision of appropriate signage for, proposed developments.
