689 Deputy Billy Kelleher asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if sports capital grants are to be made available in 2012; if so, when will organisations be invited to apply; the amount that will be allocated to County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [36097/11]
View answerI will be announcing two new rounds of the Sports Capital Programme between 2012 and 2016. The first of these will be advertised in the New Year. The amount allocated to any county under the Sports Capital Programme is dependent on the quality and quantity of the applications received from that county and the overall level of funding available.
