194 Deputy Maureen O’Sullivan asked the Minister for Health the reason a person, asked to do so by the family, was be prevented by staff from entering a public hospital to visit a member of that family and was told he or she will need written consent from the patient’s psychiatrist in order to visit; his views on whether this an infringement of the human rights of both the patient and the visitor; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
