47 Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources his plans to send representatives from his Department or any agencies under his remit, including the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, to the European Wind Energy Association conference in Copenhagen which will be held between 16 and 19 April 2012; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The conference referred to is a commercial conference held on an annual basis by the European Wind Energy Association. Staff from the Department or the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland only attend commercial conferences abroad if their attendance is absolutely warranted by business requirements. There are currently no plans to attend the conference in question.
