48 Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 81 of 19 January 2012, his plans to publish the findings to date of the review referred to therein; when he expects the review to be completed; his plans to publish the review once it has been completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have indicated to the Deputy, in response to his previous questions on the subject (ref. 3222/12 of 19 January 2012 in particular referred to above) the position on the remuneration review. I would not consider it appropriate to publish incomplete interim data at this stage as suggested.

I am currently examining how best to progress the review and am considering utilising outside expertise not currently available to my Department to promote the efficacy of the findings and outcomes of the exercise.

As I have said previously, I fully recognise that there is a real public interest in the levels of remuneration at the covered institutions and have committed to placing the details underpinning the review into the public domain.
