The provision of facilities and access for disabled persons who wish to fish designated rivers and lakes is not a matter for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport or for the tourism agencies. However, the promotion and development of various tourism sectors and activities, including angling, are operational matters for Fáilte Ireland. Accordingly, in regard to that function, I have referred the Deputy's Question to Fáilte Ireland for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
