445 Deputy Martin Ferris asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if the positions for non-ministerial appointment membership of the board of Inland Fisheries Ireland were advertised; if so, where; and the number of persons that applied. [11279/12]
View answerSection 12 of the Inland Fisheries Act 2010 (No 10 of 2010) provides for the appointment of three members to the Board of Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) on the nomination of the Joint Oireachtas Committee. The Committee, through the Public Appointments Service, sought expressions of interest for the three positions from individuals who had recognised expertise or a track record in one or more of the areas set out in the Act. As I had no direct involvement in that process I am not in a position to supply the information requested.
