187 Deputy Seán Crowe asked the Minister for Education and Skills the number of persons working in the State Examination Commission who have availed of the early retirement scheme; if he will provide a breakdown of the posts directly affected by staff taking early retirement; and the provision that has been put in place to ensure the smooth running of the examination process. The State Examinations Commission has statutory responsibility for operational matters relating to the certificate examinations including matters relating to the running of the examinations system following any recent retirements. In view of this, I have forwarded the Deputy's query to the State Examinations Commission for direct reply to the Deputy.
