View answerThe Social Welfare Appeals Office has advised me that, further to my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 340 of 11 January 2012, the appeal was assigned to an Appeals Officer on 16 January for consideration. The Social Welfare Appeals Office functions independently of the Minister for Social Protection and of the Department and is responsible for determining appeals against decisions on social welfare entitlements.
