363 Deputy Mary Lou McDonald asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the amount of moneys spent by each local authority year on year from 2000 to 2011 on funding third level education for councillors in tabular form. [12509/12]
View answerThe information requested is not available in my Department. The Local Government Act 2001 (Section 142) Regulations 2010 and the Guidelines accompanying the Regulations provide the basis for local authorities' consideration of appropriate training and development for councillors. The application of the Regulations and the Guidelines is a matter for each local authority concerned.
