161 Deputy John Lyons asked the Minister for Finance if he will expedite the refund of tax relief for a medical expenses claim from the Revenue Commissioners in respect of a person (detail supplied) in Dublin 6W; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14073/12]
View answerI am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the Medical Expenses claim was submitted in early February 2012. A PAYE Balancing Statement giving relief for medical expenses incurred for 2011 will issue shortly and a refund of tax will be paid directly to the person's bank account within the next 2 weeks.
