576 Deputy Jerry Buttimer asked the Minister for Health then number of medical negligence cases involving mishaps at birth over the past five years; the settlement in each case; the amount paid in legal fees; the duration between lodging the claims and the judgments or settlements; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
