197 Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin asked the Minister for Health if it is the case that a 24-bed ward in James Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin, is to be closed to public patients and to become a ward for private patients; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14571/12]
View answerI am not aware of any change to the private bed capacity in James Connolly Memorial Hospital. The current private bed capacity remains as is — 19 single rooms and 10 semi-private beds. The private bed capacity is being reorganised across a number of wards but the overall number of private/semi private beds remain the same.
