27 Deputy Michael Colreavy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine his plans to appoint a regional inspector at his Department’s office in Drumshanbo, County Leitrim, following the retirement of the previous regional inspector last November; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The post to which the Deputy refers has recently become vacant and, as the Deputy will be aware, a moratorium on recruitment and promotion is in place in the public service. Alternative arrangements are being put in place to address this vacancy.
