View answerThe provision and deployment of Garda resources, including transport, is a matter for the Garda Commissioner. I am advised by the Garda authorities that the amounts spent on purchasing Garda vehicles for the years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and to date in 2012 were as outlined in the table below:
