93 Deputy Brendan Ryan asked the Minister for Education and Skills if there has been any analysis conducted to ascertain the long term demand for secondary school education in Balbriggan, County Dublin, once the promised Gaelcholaiste is built as part of the five year building programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy is aware, in June of last year I announced that 20 new post-primary schools are to be established up to 2017 across a number of locations to cater for increasing demographics. This announcement included a proposal to establish a new post-primary school in the area referred to by the Deputy. Forward Planning Section of my Department will continue its analysis of enrolments and demographics in the area concerned to ensure that there is sufficient school accommodation to meet any projected future demands.
