View answerIn line with the commitment in the Programme for Government, a cervical cancer vaccination catch-up programme for all girls in 6th year secondary schools commenced in the September 2011. This will be repeated for the following two years in September 2012 and 2013. This will result in all girls in the senior cycle of second level schools being offered HPV vaccine, including those currently in transition year. The HPV vaccination programme for first year girls will continue annually.
