1313 Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Health if he will provide, in tabular form, details of all salary increases for special advisers requested by him or any Ministers of State in his Department; the names of the advisers and the amount requested and a list of salary increases granted; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In respect of Mr Sean Faughnan, a salary of €112,672 was initially sought, and this request was subsequently reduced to €92,672. A salary of €80,051 was approved by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform in this case. Ms Maev-Ann Wren is engaged on a half time basis and this is reflected in her approved salary.

There have been no salary increases granted since the three individuals took up their positions.
