Question:

457 Deputy Gerry Adams asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the situation in which Dundalk Burial Board have agreed in principle to facilitate burials by the Muslim community in St Patrick’s Cemetery but have withdrawn this due to legislation from 1888 which requires burials to take place in a coffin; if he will review that legislation to allow equality to the Muslim community in death.
