View answerI understand that the person in question started on a full-time FÁS training course in the Tralee Training Centre on Monday, 14th May. When she was registered for the course I am informed that she was not in receipt of a Social Protection payment and, as such, is not eligible for a FÁS training allowance. The eligibility for a Social Protection payment for the person in question would be the responsibility of the Department of Social Protection. The person in question would, therefore, need to get in contact with their local DSP Office to establish any entitlement they may have to a payment from that Department.
