608 Deputy John Paul Phelan asked the Minister for Health the reason a full medical card was not awarded in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24869/12]
View answerIf a person has been refused a medical card they can lodge an appeal within 21 days. Details of the appeals process are forwarded to the applicant with their refusal letter. As this refusal of a medical card renewal is a service matter I have referred it to the Health Service Executive for direct reply to the Deputy.
