View answerThe age limit for receipt of domiciliary care allowance (DCA) is 16 years. As the child in question reached the age of 16 years in December 2011, DCA was no longer payable. A letter issued in September 2011 advising that payment of the allowance was due to end in December and that the person concerned could apply for disability allowance in their own right.
