The 2012 forestry premium is currently being withheld until the plantation is deemed by the Forest Service to be up to the required standard. When the standard is achieved the second instalment or "maintenance" portion of the grant will also be paid. Following a site inspection in 2010, the applicant was notified that remedial works were required on the plantation. The Forest Service received a letter on 28th May 2012 from the applicant's forestry company confirming that the works have now been completed and, on this basis, a re-inspection will be carried out in the near future.
