240 Deputy Mary Lou McDonald asked the Minister for Health if he will provide a list of the State agencies in which the Government has not made an appointment to a State body when a vacancy has arisen in view of the fact that it is clearly necessary to consider changes in the function or structure of the Board. In the context of the question raised by the Deputy, there are two vacancies in Boards under the aegis of this Department. Both vacancies are in An Bord Altranais. The Nurses and Midwives Act, 2011, has provision for the appointment of a new Board. This is currently being progressed by my Department.
